As many of you have seen, the Tennessee standards have been re-aligned with the national standards. What does that
mean to us?
We will work as a team to achieve these higher national standards.

Our achievement for next year will depend on our efforts to understand where we are currently, and
what improvements need to be made this year.
Everyone must understand what part they play in reaching our goal of exceeding Tennessee state requirements.

I will continue to provide information concerning what is happening inside of our walls in relation to meeting our
goals. I will need your help in many ways to ensure we make continuous progress.
Currently we are reviewing data to see where our needs are, and we will use this information to track each student's
individual progress. This data is being reviewed in grade level meeting that will include all grade levels.

Please take time to read with your child as often as you can. This effort will make a huge impact on your child's progress in reading comprehension.
