AES Homecoming will be Thursday Jan. 19th. The Homecoming activities will be held at 5:00. The girls bantam game will begin at 5:30. The 8th grade basketball players and cheerleaders will be recognized, along with their parents, between the varsity girls and boys games.
The next PTO meeting will be Tues. Feb. 7th at 5:30 in the lunchroom.
Feb. 17th is the last day to purchase a yearbook without paying a shipping charge.
AES Science Fair will be held Mar. 2nd at 8:00am in the gym. Science Fair boards will be for sale in the office for $2.50 while supplies last.
Parent - Teacher conferences will be held March 6th from 3:00 - 5:30. There will also be a PTO meeting at 5:30 in the lunchroom.
Spring break Mar. 12th-16th
Applications for the Pre-K program are available in the office.
Due to increase in classes and tight schedules, teachers will begin teacing at 7:45 a.m. All morning announcements will begin in the gym between 7:30 and 7:35 a.m. teachers will be picking up their students between 7:35 and 7:40 a.m.
For the safety of our students, please be aware that the doors leading to the classroom hallways will remain locked until 7:30am. Students should report to the gym in the mornings so that teachers can pick them up by 7:40am. In the afternoons, these doors will be locked until 2:30pm. At this time students who are picked up by parents will be dismissed. If you need to pick up students before this time please ask for them in the office. We are working hard to make sure that we provide the safest and best environment for students.

If your child is absent from school, a note must be sent to school the day he or she returns to school in order for it to be excused. Click here for a printable excuse note to send to school. Excused absences shall include: personal illness, illness of immediate family member or death in family, extreme weather conditions, religious observances, circumstances which in the judgement of the principal creates emergencies over which the student has no control.
If your child is riding a bus with another student, a note must be sent to school with the signature of the parent or guardian and must be signed by the principal for approval. Click here for a printable note to send to school.
